My only Christmas Decoration

It's almost done!!! We still need to clean and seal the floor, that's why it looks gray - but I changed the color of the paint and I like it a lot! I also LOVE my new bathtub! It's so deep compared to my old one. Yeah!!!

Bathroom Pics

I know!!! It's been a while since I have posted. Todd and I have been so busy - we really haven't had anything to update! His school is finally done for the semester and we are just now getting back to our house! Well, not officially. We haven't moved back in yet - but our bathroom is almost done! Check out the before and after pics!!!






































We moved the toilet next to the tub, replaced the window (all our windows actually), tiled, put in a new tub, got a new vanity and sink, textured and painted the walls, re-did all the electrical, got a new light fixture and we are adding oil rubbed bronze faucets for the sink and shower. The color on the wall is darker than it looks in these pics. It's more of a chocolate brown - the camera flash made it look a little on the pink side...

I love the window sill - this is a cool picture!















The floor needs to be cleaned and sealed, and the edges still need to be grouted - but it's almost done!
















Has anyone seen "August Rush"? I loved that movie!!! Oh, here is how the cabinets in the kitchen turned out. I haven't finished them yet, but they look great! We also stripped the living room wall paper off so now we will be able to texture and paint in there too. It's all coming together quickly now!!! Yeah! I can't wait!

Almost there...

We are SO close to moving back home! Todd and I cleaned up a lot of the rubble tonight and it felt great! I can actually walk around our house without stumbling or worrying about stepping on a nail. Our bathroom is looking great! I'll post some pictures real soon!

Real Anniversary/House

Well, since I was still recovering from surgery, Todd and I didn't do much on our real anniversary. We celebrated it the week before by going to Park City. So we dug out the ole' frozen wedding cake and took a bite! Todd was NOT excited...that is, until he took a bite and it was still fluffy and soft after a YEAR!!! So Todd ate a big slice! I was satisfied with just a bite...

Halloween/Fall

You can see that this is a picture of Todd with his motorcycle...but what you DON'T know is that this is actually his Halloween costume! (pretty creative, eh?) He's a bad biker (with a skull shirt on) who broke his "prisoner of love" (me) out of jail...

I can rarely get Todd to smile normal for pictures...he's as bad as the kids!

I told my dad I would take some pictures of what our neighborhood looks like right now. He's down in Texas enjoying the HOT sun still, and we get to enjoy the season changes! I love this time of year!!!

The trees are so old and beautiful - every street has big trees that curve up over the road like this...except our house! We are the only ones on the block without a big old tree!!! SAD!!!

What's Going On?

Wow! I can't believe I've been married a year already! It's so strange to think how fast time went! We have definitely had to bend and mold to each other...but I have loved every minute of it! I could do without the excessive football watching...but I married a sports fanatic, what can I expect! ;)

Well, some big changes are happening around the Heaton household! Our tile is finally going to be in this week and maybe, just maybe we will be able to move home by Todd's Birthday on November 9th! (We'll see about that!) It's been a fun, but HUGE project and has been WELL worth it! I can't wait to see the final result!

Tomorrow is my last day working at Great Western Supply! It's been 8 years! I can't believe I am actually doing it! It makes me really sad! But how can you argue with more money??? I will now be working at a company called MSS. My job description is really not defined yet. So I'm not quite sure what it will entail. But I will be the Administrative Assistant to the service manager. Todd will begin student teaching in January and then we really don't know what will happen after that. He's not quite sure he really wants to be a teacher anymore - so if you have any great career ideas..please send them our way!

Todd and I are going to be coaching together at West High School. He will be coaching the cheerleaders and I will be heading up the Lacrosse team...I mean..err..umm...the other way around. I told all of my students they can't flirt with him.

I had surgery last week...a laparoscopy. Everything went well - the doctor said he removed a significant amount of endometriosis (I even have pictures). But I had a hard time coming out of it. I couldn't stop shivering, and I wasn't cold! But they wrapped me up nice and warm and it felt SOOO good! I was so relaxed and I was soooo tired! I just wanted to drift away into dream land. But my dreams were shattered twice by an alarming beeping sound and the nurse screaming "Girl! You gotta keep breathing!" After that I was too paranoid to let myself sleep! Then I thought about it too much and took in TOO much oxygen so I felt light headed. It was a mess. But all is well now and I'm feeling fine! Now that my body will be working the way it is supposed to, I'm hoping for quadruplets...

1 yr Anniversary

We stayed at the Silver King Hotel in Park City for our 1 yr anniversary. It snowed all day - so we just relaxed, watched movies, swam and sat in the hot tub. It was a beautiful room! We had a full kitchen & laundry!

Below is the color we are painting our kitchen cabinets. We will probably do one more coat to make it darker - this doesn't give it justice at all! It is called Bombay Mahogony. It is really pretty!

Lindsey & Carson

Lindsey (a.k.a. Linnie Lu Who) acting like a puppy dog. Grown men are turned to mush when this little creature enters the room. (especially my grown man - Todd).

And Carson! I was trying to get him to do his power surge...He always brings toys up really close to his face and then he crosses his eyes and shakes. He kind of did it, but it's so cute in real life! He does it when he is in his own little world!
